Condolences to the Family

The Penfield Fire Company wishes to offer their condolences to the family and friends of Louis Beach, 57, Steven Smith, 54, and Tyler Doohan, 8 who lost their lives on January 20, 2014. At this time the Penfield Fire Company will respect ...the wishes of the family on how to proceed with any funeral arrangements. Efforts to recognize Tyler and his brave acts are in the works and when details have been confirmed we will share them along with funeral details.

As everyone can agree, this incident is very tragic and the bravery of Tyler is one that should be acknowledged. It is believed that had the home had a working fire detector that all could have gotten out safely. In acknowledging the brave acts of Tyler Doohan, we would also like to remind everyone how important a working fire detector on all levels of your home.

If you would like to help the family with the funeral costs, please see the official donation page which has been set up in honor of Tyler Doohan by the family.
