Ginna Siren Testing Today May 10th at 9:45 - 10:00

The Robert Emmett Ginna Nuclear Power Plant will be testing all 96 sirens today between 9:45 and 10:00 this morning with possible individual tests through out the day.
In the Penfield Fire District which is just touched by the outer ring of the 10 mile notification zone residence will be able to hear these sirens going off as far south west as Harris Rd and 441.

Every now and then a concerned citizen will call the fire station pondering whats going on, or why have the tornado sirens been activated when there's no storm in the area?
We can't stress this enough that these are nuclear warning sirens as the county does not have any weather warning devices installed.

In the event of a real emergency please tune to your local radio station or television station for details.
