House Fire

Penfield firefighters responded around 9:00 am Friday June 03, 2011 for the report of a house on fire with the possibility of people trapped. A small fire in a bathroom filled the house full of smoke blocking the exits for two residence who were home on the second floor at the time. Assistant Chief Mike Romach from the neighboring East Rochester Fire Department and Monroe County Sheriff J. Fenton were the first one's to arrive on scene and assist removing the trapped occupants, one from a porch roof and the other from a back bedroom. The Penfield Fire Company arrive shortly after and knocked down the fire. Damage was contained to the bathroom only.

Our Units operate within a 30 square mile district that covers over 11,500 residences which makes up a large portion of the town of Penfield along with areas in the town of Perinton. We respond 24 hours a day 365 days a year to help anyone in the community during a time of need.
