Mobile Home Fire

8:56 this morning a lone cell phone 911 call came in alerting volunteer firefighters of  a Mobile Home Fire on Arbor Drive. The 2nd assistant chief 3c37 was first on location reporting a working fire with fire showing in the front corner of the mobile home.  First in apparatus Engine 372 directed by the 2nd assistant chief 3c37 picked up a hydrant and laid in a water supply to the scene then stretched a line to the door.  Crews quickly entered and knocked down a deep seated kitchen fire and encountered heavy smoke and heat through out the structure.  While one crew battled the fire (Engine 372) another crew (Rescue 378) did a search of the home for any possible victims.  Although no human victims were found a pet cat was located in a rear bedroom which had unfortunately succumb to the smoky conditions.  Crews were out for about 2 hours total.  Brighton and East Rochester FD's assisted with man-power to the scene.
